Parit Buntar - Tg Piandang - Kuala Kurau

Half Day Eating Trip to Enter Northern Perak from Penang

Based on a map shared by someone at FB about Kulau Kurau, I revisited Kuala Kurau via Parit Buntar & Tanjung Piandang. Whole journey took about 6 hours.

Since the day I departed was the Hungry Ghost festival, most of the shops were closed.

My recommended driving route is as below:
- Juru Toll > Jawi Toll > USM (Nibong Tebal) > Parit Buntar
  > Tg Piandang > Ban Pecah > Kuala Kurau > Kuala Gula
  > Kuala Kurau > Nibong Tebal > Jawi Toll > Juru Toll

Parit Buntar:

1) Restaurant Abak (亞木牛肉粿条):
    - GPS 5.122266, 100.488326
    - 1st stop at Restaurant Abak (亞木牛肉粿条) for beef noodles failed.
    - The shop was closed due to Hungry Ghost festival.

2) Restaurant Ah Kiang (阿强三色咖喱面):
    - GPS 5.128662, 100.494335
    - 2nd stop at Restaurant Ah Kiang (阿强三色咖喱面) for curry noodles failed.
    - The stall was closed due to Hungry Ghost festival.

3) Restaurant Sin Weng Soon Lee (永顺利饮食中心):
    - GPS 5.117955, 100.485663
    - 3rd stop at Restaurant Sin Weng Soon Lee (永顺利饮食中心) for laksa.
    - Luckily this hawker centre is open. Laksa @ RM4.00 / bowl
    - Also bought local famous cookies (Heong Peah) @ RM5.20 / pack

Tanjung Piandang:

1) Ban Pecah:
    - GPS 5.034888, 100.389895
    - Wanted to come here previously but didn't make it once
    - Finally managed to visit this place for the 1st time, nice place for a photo

Kuala Kurau:

1) Bagan Seberang Kuala Kurau:
    - GPS 5.007236, 100.428120
    - Most of my previous visit to Kuala Kurau ended at opposite side only
    - I have never visited this side of Kuala Kurau, this is 1st time here
    - I heard that it is possible to chartered a boat for river cruise (RM80/boat, RM12/pax)
    - Special Drinks: Hor Ka Sai (虎咬狮)
    - Local Delights: Prawn Fritters, Rojak, Prawn Omelette, seafood, salted fish, etc

Kuala Gula:

1) Kuala Gula Hua Seng Kong (瓜拉牛拉华圣宫):
    - GPS 4.956429, 100.479247
    - I called it "Heaven & Hell" as you can visit Heaven & Hell inside this temple
    - Nobody dare to snap a photo because that day is Hungry Ghost Festival
    - Thus, I took some photos from Google Maps to be posted here

Others:

You might want to visit other attractions which I do not visit this time

1) Joo Hong Chan (Salted Egg) (裕丰栈蛋行):
    - GPS 5.020294, 100.431661
