Satun Trip 4D3N: La-ngu, Pak Bara & Surrounding

La-ngu town is about 1 hour journey from Satun.

La-ngu Fisheries Research Centre
- Have various types of tortoises and turtles
- There is a hanging bridge across the river







Thung Wa town is about 30 - 45 min journey from La-ngu.
- You can visit Thung Wa Ancient Elephant Museum
- Entrance fee is FREE
- You will be having a 3D video show session related to Satun Geopark 
- There is some fossil collection displayed
- Thru this museum, you can book for Stegodon Cave canoeing (THB300/pax)




Thung Wa Town also known as "The Town of Little Penang"
- You can find a 7-11 outlet and Tesco Lotus outlet here
- Also, there is a small market, many fruits stall along the road near the market



Stegodon Cave is just about 15 min from Thung Wa Ancient Elephant Museum
- Canoeing will start from this cave and ended at Ban Tha Aoi Pier (about 4km)
- Advance booking is required to understand the river conditions (1-day in advance)







Rawai Beach is about 30 min from Thung Wa town
- Nice place to see sunset, and nothing else




La-ngu Twilight Night Market & Morning Market
- During my trip, it is open every night. Thus, I am assumed that it is open every night.
- Selling foods and cloths mainly
- There is a 7-11 outlet just at the entrance of night market
- Morning market is located at the same location







Pak Bara View Point
- Nice location for snapping photos
- There are some food stalls open at night


Pak Bara Pier
- You can take a boat trip to Koh Lipe, Koh Bulone, etc from here
- You can also arrange a long tail boat trip (half day) to visit Bo Chet Luk and surrounding islands
- There is a 7-11 outlet nearby
- There are some restaurant serving breakfast and lunch
- Aunt at the "King Tour" shop selling pork noodles for breakfast (THB50)
