Fixing Enchen Hair Clipper's Battery Problem
- After fully charged, hair clipper's battery cannot last long. It only can use for a short period of time (less than 1 min).
- Suspect: Li-Ion battery malfunction due to aging

- Dismantle the bottom cover
- Unscrew 1 screw under the bottom cover
- Remove the clipper ceramic blade, unscrew 2 screws underneath
- Open up the body cover
- Unscrew the main board
- Unscrew the USB-C charging board
- Remove 2 boards from the body cover
- Identify the Li-Ion Battery (14500) connection
- Dismantle the Li-Ion Battery (14500) from the board
- Get the necessary parts needed (flux, nickel strip, new battery)
- Solder the nickel strip onto the battery with help of flux
- Solder the battery onto the board
- Battery replacement done, reassemble back all loosen parts
- All parts needed for this fixing
Precaution:
- Li-Ion battery might be exploded if overheated. Handle the soldering with extra care.
Tools Required:
- Soldering iron
- Desoldering pump
- Tweezer
- Screwdriver

- 14500 Li-Ion Battery (800mAh), US$1.20
- Nickel strip, US$2.20 (use only a small portion)
Spot Welding (safer & easier):

- It is safer and easier to use spot welding compared to soldering.
- Just power on and point it to the nickel strip and battery. It is done in less than 1 sec.
