Travel by BAS•MY Kota Setar (Kedah)
BAS.MY is stage bus services under the Stage Bus Service Transformation (SBST) initiative by the Federal Government as an effort to improve stage bus services to be more efficient and reliable, especially outside the Klang Valley.
Previously known as myBAS, bus services under the SBST program will be rebranded starting in 2024 as BAS.MY in conjunction with the introduction of a cheerful and attractive pink bus design.

🚌 BAS•MY Kota Setar Is Now Operating!
- Starting June 1, 2025, BAS•MY Kota Setar services have begun operating in stages through the Stage Bus Service Transformation (SBST) under the supervision of the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) and the Ministry of Transport Malaysia.
- This initiative aims to provide more efficient, safe and affordable bus services to the community in the state of Kedah Darul Aman.

- 🚌 Covering the Alor Setar City area, Kuala Kedah, Jitra, Kuala Nerang, Pendang, Sungai Petani, Pantai Merdeka and many more!
- 🚌 48 new bus units (MIDI & Mini Low Floor types) have been introduced.

- 30 minutes – City Routes
- 60 – 90 minutes – Inter-district Routes

Pay Your BAS.MY Fare the Way You Want
- Choose the payment method that suits you best - cash, debit/credit card, or QR code. Your journey is now smoother and more user-friendly.
✅ Stop-and-Go Bus Fares
- Passengers can choose to pay a one-way fare for each journey. BAS.MY services (stop-and-go bus fares) for areas other than the Klang Valley under the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board Circular No. 2009 (New Fare Limits for Peninsular Malaysia Public Transport Services).
- 🎫 Fare Calculation:
- RM0.94 for first 2 KM, followed by RM0.094 for each subsequent kilometer thereafter
- 50% OFF for:
- + Students in School Uniform
- + Senior Citizens (>60 years old)
- + Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)
- FREE for children below 7 years old
✅ Free Fare Facilities (Citizen Concession Card)
- Students (Primary & Secondary Schools)
- IPTA Students (University, Community College, Polytechnic & Matriculation College)
- Disabled Persons (OKU)
✅ Senior Citizens
- 30-day travel passes for citizens are also available for regular passenger facilities.
- How to Apply
- Bring the following documents to the nearest BAS.MY counter / kiosk:
- MYKAD / MYKID / MYTENTERA
- Valid OKU (JKM) Card
- Valid student card
✅ 30-Day Card
- Unlimited Travel Pass worth RM50 for 30 days.
- Registration & subscription using MYKAD/MYTENTERA.
- Unlimited Travel Pass helps save on travel costs for BAS.MY passengers

- You may proceed to the nearest counter for Citizen Concession Card / 30-Day Card registration.
- Remember to bring relevant documents such as MyKad / MyTentera / OKU Card / Student Card.
