DIY Series 79: Repair Noxxa Breadmaker Oven (Model: BM315SC) - Bottom Heating Element

Noxxa Breadmaker Oven (Model: BM315SC) - Bottom Heating Element

Symptoms:

  • Bottom heating elements are not working
  • Suspect internal part broken, thus there is no connectivity

Findings:

  • Tested with multimeter, the bottom heating element (front side) was broken

  2. After remove the top metal housing. (Note: There are 2 special security screws at the bottom of the metal housing, can try to unscrew it using plier)
  3. Check the bottom heating element to understand how to dismantle it
  4. Remove the wiring, and unscrew 4 screws at one side
  5. Remove the wiring, take out the metal ring (blocker) and ceramic block at another side (Note: this step is not easy, be patient when working on it)
  6. Measure the length of bottom heating element, source for OEM parts.
  7. Received the new (OEM / Universal) bottom heating element (same length, but design slightly different)
  8. Reuse the 4 screws from old parts to new parts
  9. Reuse the metal ring (blocker) and ceramic block from old parts to new parts
  10. Place the new bottom heating elements and screw it
  11. Reconnect the wiring at one end
  12. Place the metal ring (blocker) and ceramic block at the other end (Note: this step is not easy, be patient when working on it)
  13. Reconnect the wiring at the other end
  14. Reassemble the metal housing and the bottom heating elements (heating up)
  15. The bottom heating elements after cooling down
